Last goodbyes (Day 8 in Romania)
The last day. This did not mean much: making suitcases and traveling back to Belgium. At school the time had come to say goodbye. We enjoyed our last joint singing moments and conversations with the class. We quickly arrived in Bucharest to return to Belgium by plane. It was weird to go back to our normal lives, because this journey somehow changed our lives a bit. It has even shown some of us a side of ourselves that we had never noticed before but can help us shape our own path.
The journey we were looking forward to has flown by. It was both a beautiful, fascinating and fun trip as well as a difficult, tiring and hard journey. That we had the opportunity to experience a trip like this is something very special to us. This trip fitted in perfectly with our study and teaches us new things, teaches us how to deal with the unknown. It was a journey where we could push our limits and be ourselves without being embarrassed or afraid of being judged. We see this journey as a kind of farewell journey of 6 years of College and 3 years of human sciences.
On behalf of each of us, the 6th human sciences, we want to thank everyone for making this exchange project a success. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to our project, no matter how small it may be, it always helps. But also to Viorel to trust us and take us to places where nobody is normally allowed. And of course also to our teachers who do this every year and who are more than 100 percent committed to this project. Thanks for trusting us in this project and for letting us being independently.
We are very happy that our efforts have been rewarded and that we were able to leave a very nice amount in Romania and have contributed our bit. It is a journey to remember, full of beautiful memories that none of us will ever forget.
